I am unsure of what Blackrazor does... I mean it's unclear in the description.

Does it drain the wielder of 4 levels or whoever i'm attacking?
Does it allow a saving throw and are all those effects simultaneous? (or is it possible i can only get heald for 20 HP but no STR added and so on and so forth?).

Blackrazor is perfectly safe to use, it drains levels from the target only. Without a saving throw. I don't know if the effects come in clusters or independently, but in my experience they happen pretty often.

    OK, thanks!

I don't want to start another thread so i'll just ask here.

I needed a walkthrough for something in ToB and i saw that the guy that wrote it recommends that you do not quick save, but use instead the normal save feature, because ToB is filled with bugs.

Is this true? I ask because i tend to use the quicksave very often. You can say i tend to overuse it :)

I have patch 26498 installed BTW.

What do you say/recommend? Has anything bad in this way happened in your BG gaming experience?

    I'm afraid he's right.
Sometimes ToB crashes while quicksaving, which destroys the quicksave. (you'll have to load a normal or autosave then, so it's wise to use both methods of saving)
I think it depends on your computer specs, some people have never experienced this bug.

I quicksave, like, every ten seconds. I use it waaaaaaay too much. :D Nothing's happened in the way of crashing though.

The haste, strength and heal are simultaneous. The level drain is seperate from the others. At least, it seems that way. But with a 20% chance, both effects trigger pretty often, and it's certainly not uncommon to see all effects happen simultaneously.

Btw, is it possible for good aligned characters to get the Blackrazor, using the Mind Control Circlet exploit? Because whenever I try to do this trick with a good aligned character, no Blackrazor drops after I kill the genie, but if I do it with a neutral or evil aligned character, I always get the Blackrazor to drop.

 What are you smoking? The Greed demon gives it to you when you enter the area. What you do with it then (give it to genie, kill genie with it) is up to you.

I gave up smoking that stuff a long time ago ;) I mean, using the Mind Control Circlet from the Mind Flayers to charm the genie, so he won't leave after you've given him the sword. That way, you can get both the good reward (+2 saving throws is just so much better than 15 hp, imo) and the Blackrazor.

But like I said, I just can't seem to get him to drop the Blackrazor if I do this trick with a good aligned PC.

Well, I can't see any reason it would destroy the item. I've got Revised Hell Trials, though, so maybe it's a bug they fixed.

If you want Revised Hell Trials, it's part of the PPG Quest Pack at www.pocketplane.net.
