I know Blade can place 3 slots in the two-weapon style, but can he place more than 1 slot in any weapon proficiencies?

From somewhere, I heard Hear'Dalis can place 2 slots in long sword. Is this Hear'Dalis only option or works with any Blade class character?

Sorry, i's a Haer'Dalis specialty. Blades only get one star in weapons.

H'D only has two points in Short swords. He can't get more than one point in other weapons.
Still it makes him a better (short ;) ) swordsman but it doesn't give him extra attacks (only Fighter types -including Rangers and Paladins- gain extra attacks with weapon specialization).

Conclusion: Haer'Dalis gets two points in long and short swords (but no extra attack), and one point in other weapons.

A regular blade has only one point in any weapon.

Yep. However, I find it to be a lot better to go with Scimitars as far as Blades are concerned. Just use Belm +2 and Scarlet Ninja To +3 once you get [snip].

Four attacks per round, with Improved Haste for 8 attacks...possibly using those Gauntlets from the last level at WK for an extra half attack can get you a lot of offensive power! :)

If you were using Short swords, on the other hand, you wouldnt only ever have 2 attacks, which isn't nearly as good.

Having one less proficiency point is no big deal, when you can have a Mislead Clone or five singing Improved Bard Song. :D

    @ Faraaz

Using Short swords, you could equip Kundane, which has an undocumented APR enhancement much like Blem, still 3 APR to 4, but not bad until [snip]. Until then, just drop a star in Scimitar as well and use Kundane and Blem.

@Kulyok: sorry but I believe that good old H'D doesn't have two points in longswords... Or can you give him two points when you level up? That seems odd.

How many ApR does a Bard with both Kundane and Belm have?

Also: How many points in TWF can a blade get?

@Caradhras: if you get H'D at the right level he will have two points in longswords. If you get him too early, he will neither have those two points or be able to put more than one point in that proficiency.

@Klorox: Blades can get up to +++ in Two-Weapon fighting, making them (IMHO) easily the best Bard kit.
