[IMG] I'm having some bad problems with my laptop (the comp with all my games, school work etc. are on).

When I load it up, everythings fine, but once it goes to the point where it asks for my password, the whole screen goes blank. You can press enter and the music that comes on when windows is loading appears. It is obviously working fine behind this darkness, but I have no idea how to get rid of it.

There is a trouble shooting guide in the manual. This is what it says:

The display panel is blank when system is switched on:
-Make sure notebook is not in the Suspend or Save To disk modes. The Display is turned off in these modes to conserve energy in these modes.
-press Fn+F7 to increase the screens brightness.
-Press Fn+F4 to make sure the notebook is not in CRT-output mode only.

I have tried all of these, but no avail.

I would really appreciate any help from anyone, as I have no idea what to do when a computer buggers up. Please, I'm desperate for help on this.

Have you tried running it in safe mode? Can be accessed during startup by pressing F8 or F10 (or some other key)
and then choose the Safe Mode option.

It seems to ba a Windows setting or background program that's causing the problem.

If that doesn't work, take it to an expert (I am a greenhorn programmer, not a Win admin :p ) or backup the files and enjoy the format :D

Go to safe mode (by pressing f8 during boot) and from there see what is going on. Most probably you must have changed the resolution to something it is not supported by your monitor. I think IIRC that TFT and LCD support only one or two modes and you must switch to your previous configuration. Which BTW must have been 1024x768 at 75 Hz (the default for most monitors of these types). I hope i have helped you
