We haven't had a LotR topic in a while. So sad.

I've come across a site that purports to be the diary entries of the Fellowship. I had no idea Tolkien's characters were so frisky.

http://diaries.diagon.org/ Read 'em from left to right. (Aragorn then Legolas then Boromir, etc.)

    Legolas really is the prettiest.

Are you sure....there are more on this one, and the ones that were posted before seemed slightly different. I'm sure Sam was in blatant denail in the earlier ones...always going on about "perfectly platonic brotherly love" or somesuch. - Ah scratch that...it was Frodo who was in denial. Still good for the ones that didn't get posted.

Same here, I've tried to read the whole proper version, I am on about page 900-and-something-or-other, and have been reading it for about a year. Iam usually quite a quick reader, but with this book, I can only read at least 3 pages a night, before getting board and going off to play on the PC.

This is much more fun, and interessting (sp?)

Actually, I made a post a while ago called Freakish Frodo.

I haven't seen the film, only trailers and posters. :)

I have a sudden attack of the giggles.
"I caught Sauron putting on ceremonial sparkly mascara"
By all accounts, Aragorn is the only one NOT getting shagged. Stupid pervy hobbit-fancier. :D

I saw a book in the shops the other day called "Bored of the Rings" which was basically a parody of the original.

It looked quite funny but was only a mear fragment of the size of the originals.

Well, you know what they say...

The mark of a great work is the amount of parody written to make fun of it.

This is sick! I guess all works of art must be made fun of by those who can't see how great it is. Or they just laugh at the joke. But not I.
