    [​IMG] Could anyone explain this newbie what is Boo all about? I was thinking the eventually at some point in the game Minc's hamster would do more than just squeek or have to revenge Minsc's death, but he didn't.
    Would I be asking this question if I played BG1?

    No, you'd still be asking the same question. Boo is simply for comedic effect, and IMO something necessary to keep Minsc somewhat sane.

    Minsc's witch was Dynaheir, an Invoker.
    She was killed by Irenicus in BG2.

    Ah well, as long as there is Boo, all is fine and dandy.

    [​IMG] Boo is simply Minsc's animal familiar, a pet since he is a Ranger. Only Minsc thinks Boo is something grand, but in truth he's just an ordinary little hamster with no special powers.

    That means Black Isle plays with me nerves. Are they suggesting that all of us thinking that Boo isn't just an ordinary hamster should end up in Asylum? With Minsc of course.

    If that's the point, I'll kiss goodbye BG1, SC Tales, BG2, ToB and every sequel.

    Of course there is prospect that Boo actually is a Miniature Giant Space Hamster from the Spelljammer Setting. I think this might also be gag from one of the SSI games (like the Spelljammer one) where a Giant Space Hamster is named Boo.

    I can't believe that you actually called Boo a normal hamster. I can tell that Minsc (and Boo!) were well out of earshot when you made that comment.

    Boo is an alien entity of vast intelligence and cosmic influence. Without Boo's influence, the main character's quests would have ended abrubtly many times. You know when it says "Critical stike averted by helmet"? Boo did that! When you sword gets doublt damange - that's Boo again. When your real life life goes well - chalk it all up to Boo! :D :D :D

    Hamster dung does seem to be the universal replacement for all spell components...

    Some dried hamster dung, a pinch of wet and nasty hamster dung, a gesture, a word and a fireball is sent streaking into the midst of your foes.

    Just stand upwind of the Mage though.... :D

    In ToB, to activate the new Globe of BladesGlobe of Blades spell, you actually put Boo into one of those hamster wheels. The spell's duration is directly linked to Boo's constitution (how long he can keep running).

    That would give "Go for the eyes Boo!" a whole new SPIN.

    If you look at his stats, Boo is no ordinary hamster. Therefore, I think it will be revealed in Throne of Bhaal, that Boo is a Bhaal-spawn! (Though one hopes that Bhaal turned himself into a hamster first...) He has actually been going along with you all along in the hope of usurping your powers, and gaining the Throne of Bhaal for himself. Boo is in fact the final boss of the game!!!!

    Or perhaps he's just a miniature giant space hamster. :)
