[IMG] BG2 is boring now, I finish it with a lot of character class, at every difficulty level, and everytime solo!

and I dont have fun anymore,

Can you help me to find a character class that is fun to play?

Perhaps a bounty hunter or a ranger, I don't know...

    • Play on a higher difficulty?
    • Play multiplayer on the Internet?
    • Start with BG1 again?

If you've played it so many times of course it gets old. Same with any other game. Go get another. Or go play some first person shooters and then play bg2 again.

cheating makes it less fun because wats the point if u know that u can kill everything that you meet...

a suggestion maybe you should play with npcs instead of soloing... then u get more interaction and its more fun with all of thier subquests

[ROTFL! I gotta give you points for effort with the 'u' vs. 'you' Dudette! I can see it's pretty difficult for you! :D BTA]

    I agree with everyone else...

    1. Get a new game if you played it so much it's boring.

    2. If you still want to play BG2, try it with the NPCs. A lot of the fun is found in the interaction of the characters. Also, if you've never played with a party you've never had the fun of desiding if you should fireball the bad guys and risk hurting your frontline fighters. Also having a party to deal with, adds to the difficultly of casting spells like "cone of cold" and "Agannazars Scorcher".

    or

    3. Read a book, go outside, or otherwise live life... until Throne of Bhaal comes out, of course.

There are some interesting parties over at PlanetBaldursGate. If you don't find it a challenge playing the Stooges, you are good, and some of the theme parties are rather clever.

You may want to do something else, but I would suggest next game of BG2 you play for fun rather than for challenge or power.

    (Fun for somebody)
    Robin Hood Party

    Robin Hood - Archer
    Little John - Fighter
    Friar Tuck - Cleric
    Will Scarlet - Thief
    Alan a Dale - Bard

Leave the last spot open for questing, or could be given to say Ivanhoe - Paladin. Group should give freely to poor (small churches are OK, like the one in the slums), rob the rich nobles, distrust big churches, everyone should be in studded leather or under for quick movement, (though Little John might get away with Chain) and the group will feel most comfortable away from the city. Avenge wrongs, mock your enemies, etc.

(How would Robin Hood deal with Trademeet? Hard to say.)

I bet you haven't played with Kivan, Boo, and Drizzt in your party? The hidden party members... I've been playing with Kivan for a little wile now. I've gotten him up to fifth level from the second level that he is when you summon him...

I´m in about the same situation now. I just finished BG-1 and since I lack IWD-HoW [it´s still pretty expensive and I have to buy a new toner cartridge soon :( , as a must ToB is coming out soon and I want to buy that too] the only crpg I could play is BG-2 ...

    Maybe a first-person shooter helps for a while ...

I have to admit that bg2 is far too easy and i always breeze through it.
But who cares anyway. I have never had difficulty surviving during my life either. Doesn't make it boring!

Plus playing as a shapeshifter has turned out to be a great deal of fun (though paladin is still better

I'm bored of BGII because of annoying fights. There is nothing more annoying than a fight where you waste all of your healing potions(expensive!), someone dies and eventually you die and have to load again. I hate fights like that.

I started the game over with an archer. One thing started pissing me off. I wanted to play evil for a change but archer is a ranger. Archer should be a fighter and archers should be able to wear at least splint mail. Now I get to another annoying thing on BGII, the rules! AD&D rules suck. Why can't a mage use a crossbow? Because he makes spells? Why can a mage use a staff then? Why can't thieves use larger bows and crossbows? Why can't a priest use swords?

There are lots of flaws in BGII but it's still a good game.

Lukki, I believe it's called "Game Balance". Priest can cast spells, at the cost of some weapon restrictions. Mages can cast even better spells including some great defensive ones, at the cost of armor and weapon restrictions. And so on.

If you gave every class the power to cast every spell, use all weapons and wear whatever armor they wanted, what would be the point of having different classes to begin with?

But in reality it wouldn't matter if I were a priest or not. Everyone CAN wield EVERY weapon. Others are just better with them.

Well that's the whole point; it isn't reality, it's a game and those are the rules that the makers of the game decided on.

If your a priest you wouldn't dare use an edged weapon...Your God's wrath would be enough to keep an edged weapon out of your hands. And Blackthorne's right on!!
