I have Branwen in my party, and I use her pretty much as one of my tanks. I'm still just in chapter 2 or 3, so her spiritual hammer is quite useful. Now, it seems no matter how much armor I give her, she always ends up takign way more damage than Kagain, my other tank, or well, pretty much anyone else in the party. I have her on AC -2 or 3, while Kagain is 0 or -1, and still she keeps getting hit. They're both in the first line, so I don't see how that could make a difference. Why does this happen, is it DEX related?

Dexterity is included in the AC noted. So that is not it. If you use a missile weapon in close combat you are easier to hit. But I don't think the Spritual hammer is considered a missile weapon. hmmmm

Try going into OPTIONS..GAMEPLAY..FEEDBACK...and chose to see to hit roles. Let me know what they say if the problem does continue.

Maybe when you have sling and then cast the Hammer, the pc thinks you still have a ranged weapon? It can't be the Dex at least.

[IMG] I experienced the same, though with SoA-Viconia. She had the same AC as my fighter PC (-10) but still got hit almost double the time(gr?)!

That seems to happen alot of the time for me. Part of it can be the type of armor, not the ac. Full plate will always protect better than chain (cept against blunt weapons I think) even if it has the same ac. But it does seem to be more than that. Certain character did, in my game at least, seem to get hit less, even if they have the same ac as another character that was getting the floor mopped with their body. And it was consistent for that matter, not random most of the time. I could never really figure out why this was...it just always seemed to be the case. I guess some characters are just naturally blessed with good luck.

    Crawl, you got a point!

It can be the kind of enemies you have to fight with. That depends per area, what you encoutner much. Things that not count in AC but do count against some enemies, are the girdles. When you got a girdle of Slashing on Kagain, he has still a higher AC, but will be hit less times by enemies that have Swords. Shields also improve resistance against piercing.

You can check the information button (left bar, 5th button). Scroll some down and there you can see your bonusses against Piercing, Slashing and Blunt weapons. What bonusses do they have? Can this be a hint to what happens here?

Most enemies tend to gang up and attack one party member - normally the one they see first or the one that successfully hits them first.

WE know Xuncle. Doesn't matter, when you change them.. Branwen just seems to get hit easier. I thought the solution could be in my previous armor, does someone have Branwen and Kagain in a party? Can he look at those stats? I'm kinda interestedi if this is the solution.
