    Hi,
I have a problem with the Keeping Yoshimo mode.

I have recently installed Baldurs Gate II, Soa and ToB, together with a bunch of modes (fixpack, tweakpack from G3, Keto, Amber and Hubelpot NPCs and a Quest pack and of course KY) in correct order.

Now, I have gotten to Brynlaw, where Yoshimo is supposed to temporarily leave the party and hide. However he cannot initiate the dialogue with me!
He and my character just turn to each other and get stuck, Yoshimo cannot walk very far before he stops, I can neither sleep nor save, cause the game says I am in the dialogue mode.

I tried reinstalling (just the mode) several times and it didnt help.

I googled quite extensively, however didnt find anything of any help and mod authors appear to have ceased their activity in this.

Is there any way maybe to force a dialogue via CLUA? HAs anything similar happened to you? I would be very happy for any suggestions :)

    dan

Get cracking with Infinity Explorer, look at Yoshimo.dlg...
That will tell you the triggers to start the desired dialog. After that you may need to use the Console.

Thanks a lot. I have looked at the dialog file and the conditions it listed are:

    Global("#!SpellHold","GLOBAL",1)
    Global("#!Yoshi","GLOBAL",1)
    !Global("#!Mages","GLOBAL",1)
    GlobalTimerExpired("#!YoshiTrigger","GLOBAL")

The truth is, I dont really know how to translate this information into a command. I have played with it for a while, setting the values via "SetGlobal" to 1, but it doesnt seem to work.

    Any ideas?

You will need to read some basic notes on the Console. IESDP appendices has them listed under CLUA Console, check the BG2 version.
    An example at random:
    Global("#!SpellHold","GLOBAL",1)
(What is that # doing there? Is it an indicator of a mod-only command?!)
To check its current value paste this into the Console:
    CheckVar("#!SpellHold","GLOBAL")
To set its value to 1, paste this:
    SetGlobal("#!SpellHold","GLOBAL",1)
Pasting is done after you delete everything to the right of the colon, thus:
    CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("#!SpellHold","GLOBAL",1)

I think have a basic idea of how the Console works and I played around with setting the appropriate global variables to one, but it doesn't seem to help.
I don't know what # stands for either, but that's what Infinity Explorer showed me :)

I wonder what can prevent the dialogue from happening despite the conditions having been met... at least I think that they have been met.

In IE script the AND function is the default, all conditions must be met exactly. You will need to check all variables.
"GlobalTimerExpired("#!YoshiTrigger","GLOBAL")" may be the culprit. You need to figure out when the timer was set and how long it was set for. I don't know how you check a timer.

It may be that none of the batches of dialog have their conditions met. Not only this part of the dialog but any later part too.
