    Warning... (very) minor spoilers...

Alright, I just started Act II in the OC and need to get from the docks to the merchant quarter to become a squire (taking the City Watch path) and the worldmap is disabled. Supposedly there's a way to move between the docks and the merchant quarter without using the worldmap, but I can't find it for the life of me. There's a bridge that looks like it should do the trick, but it just takes me to the worldmap which is completely blank. Did I miss something obvious here? Any info would be great... I'm assuming this is a silly noob question since I haven't found anyone else with the same problem ;)

Fun extra> I encountered the "party members getting mishmashed with familiars and disappearing" bug and fixed it by moving .ros files from affected characters in from an earlier save. Dunno how it happened, but since the fix I can have four NPCs in my party instead of the usual three. Cool!

I've already been to the limited version of Blacklake (wizard's house and library), that was back near the end of Act 1. I'm just starting Act II now, been told that I have to become a squire to avoid being extradited to Luskan. The problem is that the worldmap is disabled. I'm where the last cutscene put me (in the docks near the Sunken Flagon) but the guy I need to become a squire to is waiting for me in the new Watch headquarters in the merchant quarter. I figured it was a bug because there doesn't seem to be any way to get between the two without the worldmap, but someone on another board said there's a way to get between the docks and the merchant quarter without going to the worldmap... ideas?

Either way, I could just change my location in the save files but don't wanna risk screwing up a cutscene or something.

    Thanks!

I cannot remember ever having problems with this part. As I recall it, Sir Nevalle appears and suggests that you meet up with the Knight to become his squire and... that's that. I'd say you've got a bug on your hands but I could be missing something. Are you sure that you don't have to talk to any specific individual before you can take the world map?

Odd. I got the Nevalle cutscene, but I was still at the Flagon after it ended. I can enter and leave locations in the docks just fine, but no luck getting to the Merchant Quarter. Someone on another board said there's a way to get from the docks to the merchant quarter without going to the worldmap but I can't find it.

I know I can teleport my party through the console, but I didn't see the teleport command listed on GameFAQs. Barring non-console fixes, could someone just tell me the command to teleport my party to the merchant quarter? I need the location number too, since I can't seem to find that either...

EDIT: I'm pretty positive I don't have to talk to anyone. There's nobody in the docks worth talking to except merchants anyway, and Nevalle and my journal both say I need to go to the new Watch HQ in the Merchant Quarter to meet this knight.

Dumb question, but have you checked all world map transition points? I cannot recall any other path to the MQ, only a mission that you get when you're teaming up with Axle and Moire, and even then I'm not positive that you actually make a transition.

As for console commands, I don't know any. Perhaps someone could post it. :)

There are only three in the docks but yes, I've checked them all. They all show a blank worldmap (I've been ordered not to leave the city and the game enforces it, I guess).

I'm on the good path so I'm with the Watch instead of Axle, but from what I understand they work pretty identically.

Had the same problem - try this

enter the back streets area ( where the weapons were smuggled through) enter the warehouse,
talk to the superviser guy should get the phrase that says you need to talk to Moiura.
    then leave the warehouse.

after leaving I was in the Merchant Quarter.

    hope that helps
