Since about level 21 my monks attacks have been stuck at 4 atacks per round, Im at level 26 now and they are still at that level. Odd thing was that when I cast negative plane protection on him he got 7/2 attacks for a few seconds, then went back to 4 attacks. Is there any way I could cure this? Also what is there a limit on the number of attacks a monk can get, or will they continue to get 1/2 attack per 3 levels?
    Thanks.

[IMG] Max attacks per round unassisted is 5. If you use magic or abilities max is then 10.

Ah, Thanks. Any suggestions how to get my monks attacks up that high? :) Thanks.
Most I can get is 4.5 attacks per round.

    Hi,

I am not sure. I have only played a monk through the first dungeon. He is lvl 8 and had 2 attacks per round. Monks gain 1/2 attack every 3 lvls right? and so he would have 4 attacks per round at lvl 18.

I am wondering whether this is the maximum for monks, two attacks per round with each hand?

My dual wielding fighter characters typically max out at three attacks per round at lvl 13 with their main hand and adding a weapon in their offhand gives four attacks per round. If that weapon is Belm Scimitar or Kundanes short sword (gives an extra attack) then they get a total of five.

If you have a high lvl ability (only if TOB installed) such as whirlwind your monk will do 10 attacks per round for the duration of this ability (2 rounds I think).

However, enhancements such as haste and improved haste don't work on monks so you won't be able to get additional attacks that way.

Still at 4 attacks per round and 1d20+3 your monk must be doing serious damage at lvl 26.

4x23=92 hitpoints of damage without any additional strength or other bonuses, if you have those gaunlets and a gridle of giant strength, it would well over 100 hps per round. Very nice.

7/2 equates to 3.5 attacks per round, not 4.5, I am not sure why casting negative plane protection would slow him down.

Anyway, hopefully, somebody with more experience with monks than me will reply to your thread and give you some better info.

    Cheers,

    WittyNewt.
