Can I become powerful like the famous heros?

    Drizzt, hah. In two years the main char gains about 40 levels. It took Drizzt 90 to gain 16.

    But have you actually checked hom much he had gained in those puny sixteen levels? For him, 16lvl is just a value of a variable methinks, for he sure is not 'just a level sixteen ranger' ;)

    But he sure isn't a "level 34 ranger" and it took him more than 2 years. ;)

    Besides, all our other party memembers gain levels just as fast.

    By the way, what is that +30 damage that Drizzt inflicts, when the enemy fails save vs. death?

    Come on Drizzt is too powerful for 16 lvl ranger, he can alone clean all vampires nest.
    Minsc 17 lvl ranger can do this if he is very luck and dual-wielding mace of distruption and crom faeyr (and he hates vampires)

    Indeed, if we are to look at Drizzt's story, he should have gained about 20 levels of fighter in Menzoberranzan and about the same number of ranger levels after he left the drow city. So he is represented as a too weak character, but he is supposed to be much more powerful. If you take it that Drizzt was drunk in both Gates while encountering you, then you'll get the idea of how good he must be :)

    Check out 3rd edition Drizzt... i think he has 16 levels as ranger, >16 of fighter plus a few other random levels in other classes plus some epic levels to boot... he has his 90 years of xp alright....
