    Hi everybody,

For some reason I can only play Baldur's Gate the one time after I've installed it. Once I reboot my computer, the game doesn't work at all. When I launch the game, the menu will come up but as soon as I click play, the game crashes. I'm running the 4 in 1 boxset on a Windows 7 laptop. Has anybody else had this problem? I've done an extensive online search and come up with many similar problems, but nothing that matches.

    Thanks in advance.

You didn't install any patches, have you? That version is already pre-patched. Did you try Windows' compatibility modes?

No patches, tried all the modes. This is weird, usually when something doesn't work it at least throws up an error message, this just dies like I didn't click anything.

Im not sure if the game was ever compatible to run through DOS, but it might be worth a try to download DosBox and attempt to run the game through this program.

None of the IE games are DOS compatible AFAIK.
