I was just wondering if you can hack a mages familiar so that it can have different abilities like disarming traps...?

You can edit it the same way as you can change other creatures.

From my experience with shadowkeeper, I'm quite certain you can change its stats, like HP or strength, and its spells, like Glitterdust. And you can edit its thief abilities too. But I'm not sure how you can give it a "thievery button" to use to disarm traps.

[IMG] obviously i can tell that u would rather modify it, but just choose a class that allows u to pick any alignment, personally i cant be bothered going to all the trouble of modifying stuff when you have a relative selection already, IMO of course.

yah i think it would be quite cool if you could make your familiar something like an ogre beserker, or an xvart! or you could go with a full size dragon :D

Its class must be changed to a Thief (multiclass should also work) in order to get a Thieving button. If you want it to look like an ogre berserker, you have to select it in Appearance section.

Most likely...the only problem I can see is it not having animations for everything your familiar does. However dragons do cast spells and melee, it should be fine.

It wouldn't have dragons strength and abilities however.
