Can you export Characters to CD

    I am switching computers and I want to export my characters to a CD to reload. Is that possible?

    Yes, I believe that should be possible, if you can find your exported character files in your IWD2 directories somewhere and copy them to your CD. Then re-copy into the same directory on your new PC.

    I can see absolutely no reason why not. It's just a matter of moving the correct files. Same would go for saved games.

    Or heck, just copy it accross your LAN (everyone has a LAN nowadays don't they)? Just depends on what one has to work with in terms of file transfer options. I bet a character file could even be zipped and Emailed, for that matter.

    But speaking to the heart of the question, yes, it's possible to move a character file from one PC to another, and there are several ways to accomplish this, a CD being one of several viable options.

    For small files, links and suc, you can send them to your email, then they're reachable everywhere you have internet access.

    As you're moving your characters, you might want to also transfer your saves. Unless you want to begin anew with them.
