As an outgrowth of the Whatnots thread, I am starting this puppy. I'll mention a few things that are on my mind, politics wise:

Some UN douche has come in and criticized our "food security". My response to him is "go diddle yourself". I'm pretty sure that there are countries that need UN intervention in their food distribution systems a HELL of a lot more than Canada does.

NATO wants us to stay in Afghanistan longer. I say, if we are there we need to be there 100%, with all of our weaponry and with a carte blanche to fire whenever the soldier sees fit. Calling the troops and other personnel over there "non-combatant" is not going to make a difference to the Taliban filth who just love killing innocents and blowing up foreign made (and financed!) infrastructure. This half <asked> approach is worse than useless. it puts our people at risk for no good reason.

Thomas Mulcair, the Bearded Commie, needs to STFU about the oilsands. Does he really think that alienating the West is the path to the Prime Minister's office? I mean, the NDP has had some limited success in the West in the past, but if he keeps this up, he's not gonna get a vote from Manitoba to the BC border in the next election.

Why isn't Mulcair denouncing the violence in Quebec? You can bet he'd have something to say if this crap were occuring in any other province. The reason may be that he has no real ethics or morals and is in fact an opportunistic douche.

Which also applies to all the others MPs and their parties. Maybe they don't want to wade into a purely provincial matter, but I say it is because they are pathetic, unprincipled cowards. And that includes my friend Harper. Grow a pair, Stevie boy!

I would really like to either abolish the Senate or make it Triple E. It's a pipe dream, but it's mine.
