Candlestick quest

    I have Platter's fixpack and the candlestick quest installed.

    so in the buried village, I find the woman who misses her father. she points out I have to find a witch in the village for more info, but for all I searched I never found her (the witch). what did I do wrong, or where would she be hiding. I am playing again after a pause, and I am now in the Catacombs. I have talked to every corpse I found there, no one was anyone's father. most even don't say anything sensible except the gang members (Gris etc).

    could someone please tell me what I have missed here, or do I need to install anything else?

    The witch is standing a bit south-east of Marta's house in the Buried Village. Look for an old lady called Ulthera.

    You don't need to enter the Catacombs to solve the quest. It all takes place in the Buried Village (and in a small tomb you enter through a portal.)

    I looked there. there is a wagon, three villagers, and on the other side Ojo's hut. is she farther away? I have been going rounds in the village, but cannot find anone standing around and being named Ulthara.

    Strange. She should be right next to the old wagon below Marta's house.

    Did you install the mod before entering the Buried Village? And have you installed any other mods after the Candlestick quest, that might overwrite the files in the Override directory?

    Here's the information from the info.txt file that comes with the mod:

    Installation:

    Unzip the files to a location you know you will remember, then all you need to do is place the files into the override folder, easiest way is to unzip the files to
    C:bad:Program Files\Black Isle\Torment\override
    Then start a new game or continue a game where you haven't entered the Buried Village yet. If you are playing a game where your PC is currently past the Buried Village part of the game the quest will not activate.

    Quest:

    1. Talk to Sheryl. She is in small house at top of Buried Village. Offer to help solve her problem.
    2. Talk to Ulthera. She is in main Buried Village area, mid/south-west. She'll give you the key to the portals but will want a "Leg Bone Club" before she will tell you the location of the portal.
    3. "Leg Bone Club" is in some rags near Uhir (Container 6, main Buried Village area).
    4. Bring "Leg Bone Club" to Ulthera to learn the location of the portal (the portal is near the NW bell tower).
    5. Once you are in the tomb kill the monsters. Take the ring from Arkin's body. Activate the exit portal by having the "Leather Purse" Ulthera gave you in your inventory and going near the door-like hole on the eastern wall.
    6. Bring Arkin's Ring back to Sheryl.

    Candlestick was the last mod i installed. and it was done long before I started this new game. It was last year.
    thanks for the pic though, so I know what she should look like. I will try to find the mistake, I am sure there is one.

    I checked the Override directory, and the files for the quest are in there, all of them. still the witch would not show herself. what can be the cause of this?

    anyway, I started a new game today, and hope it will be different now. But I really want to give that quest a try, that is why I installed it. ;)

    and now it worked, don't ask how or why because I did not change anything beside checking that the files were already in the Override folder. Nice quest that. :)
