Cannot visit certain locations

    Hi guys,

    I have a bit of a problem... I have rescued Imoen and returned to the city (this was done early to maximise Imoen's experience). After returning to the city, D'Arnsy Keep and the Firrkragg locations are greyed out and I can no longer visit them. Am not able to re-highlight them as the respective characters have wondered off..

    I have tried an editor to change their able to visit status to yes but haven't been able to. Could anyone plese suggest a way to be able to visit these locations?

    Have you done the quests already there? Normally you should be able to access them. Did you try accessing them from different areas?

    i would suggest you try to go to those areas by first going to the city gates area.

    What Elfen Lied advised will probably fix your problem, but in case it doesn't I've also been able to access DeArnise Keep @ Windspear Hills by going to Watcher's Keep first.

    Let us know how that pans out. I'm interested because in my current BG2 game I rushed to Spellhold for the first time, and will be bummed if I don't get to pick up the Flail of Ages, as well as show Firkraag a little humility.

    From the flavor of others' posts though, I would surmise that this is not considered typical behavior. Which leads me to ask if you're using a heavily modded game? Perhaps there's a mod in there causing the problem?--assumng you can't fix it through the means suggested already.

    If you've never been to either area before, you will have to go to the Gates area of Athkatla, exit the city there and then you can go to those places. Elfen's advice is sound.

    yes while i may not post that often i do try to post as much factual info as i can, esp in regards to helping someone. i encountered this problem my very first time thru until i went to the city gates

    to first activate areas outside of athkatla, you must first go to the city gates.

    but this you can come and go from any place in athkatla to any place outside of athkatla
