Can't find fire gem!

    After a long, involved battle, I finally snuffed the Balor. I beat on it and everyone was almost dead, so I desperately entangled the darn thing with my one ranger spell. I finished it off with magic missles. As it died, it seemed to get sucked away. (Shooop).

    I found the earth and water gems on the dead bodies. Now I can't find the fire gem. Anyone have any ideas?

    EDIT: Oh yes. I installed all three patches, having come across them before I saw the CO8, which says NOT to install #3. I am not running CO8 because I thought that they might conflict.

    Hello I found the fire gem laying on the ground in the area where the Balor guardian was standing initially, but it was almost impossible to se. You have to search the area with the mouse pointer, I found it by "mistake" actually with out seeing it at first, it is very small. I also thougt that the Fire gem was lost.

    you can hit Tab and it lights up all the items on the ground with a blue outline...easier to see/find
