Can't find the Mythril Armour in Dorn's Deep...

    Hi,

    Most walkthroughs I've read mention a mythril armour +2 in Dorn's Deep main hall near the centre forge, but I've not been able to find it; pressing ALT doesn't highlight anything that I can open or interact with.

    I've also tried waving my mouse cursor over the floor, also nothing.

    Could someone please help me with this one? Thanks.

    Did you check the exact coordinates mentioned in the walkthrough ? If you press the correct key (i think it's L or X) the coordinates are displayed.

    I think I know what his problem is. He probably rested for more than a day after entering that area. The armor and the axe are not in container but on the ground as loot. So if you rest for more than a day it is gone. But don't worry, you'll find another Mithril Field Plate in the next chapter.

    Ah, I'm pretty sure that's what did Redrake, thank you. I probably thought that the armour on the ground was the loot from killing the drow there, which I didn't bother going through.

    However, in the walkthrough (Dan Simpson's) it says that the armour is not magical; the one which I got in the next chapter did turn out to be magical. Hmm...

    Dan Simpson's walkthrough is not exactly good for IWD. Some things were changed with the expansion and he never bothered to properly update it. Many of his tactics are also outdated.
    As for Mithril Field Plate, it is true that in IWD without HoW installed that armor was non-magical. With HoW installed however it is magical, so you won't be able to wear rings of protection with it. You'll find better armor in the next chapters, though.

    Indeed, I found that too. Bearing that in mind, you're better off with Bathed In Blood.
