I had a 500pt battle against a gamer friend at Kevs' flat.

I used five Wardancers, twelve Dryads, twelve Glade Guard and a Spellsinger with Calaingors Stave. My friend used five Knights, a cannon, twenty swordsmen and a detatchment of five handgunners, he had a captain on horseback with a lance too.

Glade Guard were on a hill with Yrileth Ambersky, my Autumn Spellsinger, who all stood rigid the entire battle, they lost three of their crew in total from cannon fire.

Dryads were stood mostly in a woods, two inches from the front, being shuffled along by copious treesinging, inching forward, more and more.

Wardancers primary target was the cannon. Simple as. Early in the game they got charged by the knights and slaughtered in one round, the knights overran by fifteen inches, ending up with an exposed flank towards a crawling wood, the Dryads charged into them, swarming from the trees into the captain - unfortunately he had a 1+ armour save and after combat it was a drawn, but as I caused fear the unit fled - off the table edge. Leaving my dryads free to charge onward to the cannon, to claim the crew.

The Swordsmen were inching towards my archers, who had taken out all of the handgunners in two rounds of shooting. The Swordsman ran through the woods, only to re-enact a scene from Evil Dead with the amorous trees, and lose five of their crew in one go, they held fast and moved out of the woods rather swiftly. I then moved the woods out of the way and shot them as they charged towards the hill, eventually reducing the company to four men, who turned tail and left. Clearing the whole battlefield.

One up to Athel Loren! :)
