    Had a battle against Gus and his gobbos, made a couple of glaring error judgements which resulted in skirmish units only having one model in combat... woohoo.

    As one of the others pointed out - Skaven and Goblins at low points are simply MASSive. There are so many models that smaller armies such as wood elves, chaos, etc - they will struggle to cope.

    There was one thing that should have gone in my favour though. Goblins are meant to test for fear when charging elves and they never did.

    Also it was Gus' first game of warhammer ever. Meaning there were three back seat generals for him, one a manager, two hobbyists, all with different opinions and one with a VERY elastic tape measure :rolleyes:

    I also don't appreciate being shouted over and around constantly, made it very hard to see and concentrate properly.

    From what I recall of the battle though, two spider rider units, a unit of night goblins with a black orc big boss and a unit of twenty goblin archers with short bows. Oh and a troll that died in the woods from treesinging before doing anything.

    As Gus was the last to fight me the whole bloody room helped him set up terrain - aka - in the corner of the board and away from my spellsinger deployment area ;)

    As my poor distance judgment meant my two skirmish units ended up only one in combat they loast combat and both ended up fleeing and being overrun. Leaving me with a unit of archers that couldn't physically shoot enough greenskins to make much of a dent in his units.

    So not feeling too bad about losing, but the constant shouting, rules lawyering and 'flexible' advise wasn't appreciated. It was when one of the people helping Gus was reading up my armybook and questioning what I was doing I was put a bit on the defensive. Kev was just trying to assist Gus learn the rules, I'm fine with that. He encouraged Gus to do what he thought would work and gave loose advise on tactics and bonuses. Craig stayed quiet mostly working on fixing Kevs' laptop but the other felt a little personal, telling specific tactics and saying what I was probably going to do next. Even the others have said he's not fun to watch or play against. He complains a lot when things go poorly for him, even just one failed armour save.

    Need to fight Kev again at some point, he's playing High Elves instead of Skaven now :)
