I've been looking at my Wood Elves again, and realised after some brief calculations I can break down the army very easily into managable chunks of about five or six. There are 136 models in my five thousand point army. Plus paint-only models such as Ariel and Orion. For now let's just say 136.

Now all my elven units are divisible by four, this leaves me with four neat sections of elves the number of 25.
    25 Autumn
    25 Winter
    25 Spring
    25 Summer
    36 Other

Of the 36 other 33 are trees, 1 is an eagle, 2 are hero characters, one a spirit kindred who I'm converting and another who is sat on a giant stag. Now if I add in 2 Ariel models, 2 Orion models I may purchase myself as a reward if I ever get the bloody army painted, I have 33 Trees, 7 Standalone models.

So I've made a plan of action.
In each 25 seasonal groups there are:
    6 Glade Guard
    2 Glade Riders
    4 Eternal Guard
    3 Wild Riders
    6 Wardancers
    1 Warhawk Rider
    2 Waywatchers
    1 Spellsinger
So eight different sections. If I prioritise to paint each season in a batch to maintain colour integrity then I could easily get irritated and bored, as it wont to happen when I confine myself - but there ARE a lot of trees.
So if I complete each of the percentage of the units then I can allow myself to paint, say, a Dryad or Treekin. If I paint a Treekin after each Spellsinger - I have a unit of four Treekin, one for each season!

I have 26 Dryads (A couple ARE painted already though) and 2 Branch Wraiths, 28 different models I can paint after each of the seven sections in the four seasons.

It's so mathmatically perfect I wonder myself if I didn't plan it.

Now if only I remembered to pick up my horses for my glade riders... They're at my parents. Still.
