Just wondering if a Chaotic Good cleric can cast evil spells like cause light wounds etc. Cant seem to get mine to do so. I do realize that is not supposed to work on undead. I haven't been able to get him to cast cause light wounds. He has it memorized.

Cause light wounds cannot be cast by good clerics, IIRC. :)

[IMG] If you mean Spontaneous casting, good and neutral clerics only cast Cure Light Wounds, whilst Evil clerics cast Cause Light Wounds spontaneously.

You can cast either of these spells by memorizing them. But can only cast such spontaneously according to alignment.

    IIRC? :hmm:

Inflict whatever wounds should work for good clerics too, AFAIK. But keep in mind that these spells are all touch-based. You need to cast it first, then use the attack icon on the target manually. I think anyway. I never used them myself, but I know they're touch-based.

Tal and Gopher are both correct.

Good and Evil can both cast those spells, but spontaneous casting of those spells is respectively limited to your alignment. (Inflict for evil, cure for good.)

And a touch attack is required in order to cause an inflict spell to a target.

Quite wonderfull spells actually, those inflict spells. Especially slay living and destruction rock. I wonder how a Monk/Cleric would do...
