[IMG] does any one think that any two or more charactors complement each other in any way.

I find that having Jahira and Anomen do.
You need the equivelent to at least one Cleric/Druid in the party and since most cleric/druid spells are cast before (chant, bless protection from .... etc) at range = touch (cause ...... wounds) or after battle (healing spells).
Therefore I found that J/A provided me with a wider range of spells (both cleric and druid) and two good tanks.
I dont think that two multi/dual class mages would complement each other though as it would mean hving an extra person away from the battle, as mages cant wear armour. Although a Kensai/Mage with Jan might work?

Any one or two characters? or just NPC's?

How about PC Fighter-type/Anomen/Jan - Jan for thieving and mage spells, Anomen for healing and absorbing hits (clerics can get a good AC with full plate, helm and shield), and PC Fighter-type to kill people in melee (because Anomen may need help).

The only things you miss out on are druid spells (maybe dual a fighter to a druid?) and necromancy spells like Skull Trap.

Unfortunately, it seems like an evil party has the best composition.

Korgan is a terrific tank. His Con and his enrage abilities make him immune to many things.

Viconia can become a high level cleric and is the only one that can recruit all those undead you meet. (AnnoyMan isn't bad as a back up fighter, and he can get high level too. But his Wisdom and Dex aren't great. Plus, he's.... annoying.)

Edwin is the only pure mage. He can reach the highest levels. Plus he has his necklace of 2 extra spells per level.

Add Yoshi or Jan as your thief. They're neutral and won't mind the evilness too much. Or better yet... *you* be the thief. (Assasin maybe? Poison and x7 Backstab are a delight.)

Three pure characters and you. All your bases covered. Everyone reaches high levels. So what if you won't win any popularity contests?

I found that these two combinations make for a perfect party:

F/M (PC) + Jaheira + Jan Jansen... It's exteremely effective with the multi-classes levelling very quickly, provides with all the skills you will ever need. From role-playing PoV it is entertaining as well - imagine romancing Jaheira amidst Jan's practical jokes... that's a ridiculously funny situation...

Alternatively, if you hate turnip boy, F/M/T + Jaheira is a ridiculously overpowered combination.

    Minsc and Boo :thumb:

Keldorn and Korgan make a great team, with korgan as a wicked tank and Keldorn as healer/dispeller

[IMG] I thought Edwins Amulet only gave him one extra spell per level and the other extra spells were because he was a specialist (Conjurer)

Evil parties can be so tempting to play with ...

Viccy, Korgan, and Edwin together make an awesome trio.

Edwin just simply devastates everything in sight with all his spells.

Maybe if the monsters could get close enough to attack him. But they can't, because ...

Korgan will chop them down before they even get close. Man this dude is one awesome tank.

If either of them is in trouble, Viccy will get them back on their feet. With the Flail of Ages in her hand, and her magic resistance, she herself is not that easy a woman to kill.

It's kind of scary that me and Jurts just think so alike.

My fighter/mage and Jaheira are just the ultimate team. Nobody stands a chance against them when they work together.

    Watch this:
    LG PC-kensai.
    NE vic:cleric. (and AC -12 :xx: )
works great-who needs magic when you have celestial fury.
    LG kel:paladin+Carsomyr.
LE edw:mage+very many high level spells. amulet+ring of wizardry-acuity.
    ?N NG: jan/imoen for thieving.
TN jaheira: extra healing, fire elementals and she can pack a punch with her scimitar and AC -9.

Vic and I complement each other well, as do Kor and Edw.
