[IMG] In BG2 I think the game designers should program the game so that the alignment of the main charecter changes depending on the deeds he does. The Charecter should start off being a true neutral fighter and then later in the game can change his charecter class by joining Church to become a cleric, a thief guild to become a thief and to become a paladin he must earn his right by proving himself to the church (Helm for Example) by doing great righteous deeds and then blessed by the god has chosen to honour to recieve the paladin of Helm status. The powers of the palidin are then granted by his God, and only with the power of his God he can use the Holy Avenger Sword 5+ Sword. Which is one of the greatest Swords ever to exist in all the realms. Their should be different endings of the game depending on the class of the charecter and the deeds he has done. This will make the game more interesting and more people will play the game over again using a different charecter class.

Just a thought... BGII was a continuation of BGI, with each character starting out at an intermediate level. If each character started out a level 0 character, (which is what you are suggesting), they would never survive, and it would not fit the storyline of continuing a character played in BGII.

Maybe a new game can start you out as level 0, but not really a sequel...

I Started with a thief then duel classed him to a fighter. When I completed chapter one from level 0 fighter, I was level 8 fighter and level 7 thief.
