[IMG] I know this was posted last year but resurrecting threads is frowned on so I'm starting a new one

What presents have you bought this year or are planning to buy? Are you a mega early shopper or a leave it til the last minute shopper?

I'm an extra early shopper - all mine are bought
    Dad - mp3 player
    Mum - bath spa
Jack - various toys and games
    Other half - doughnut maker!

Last minute. Last year I bought all my presents two days before Christmas. All from the same shop. I have no idea what I'm going to buy anyone until I see it on the shelf.

First, I must have money. :money: My gifts are usually of the food variety. Who in their right mind turns down freshly baked cookies? :shake:

Definitely last minute here. I'm not terribly thoughtful with my gift-giving, though, so I usually just ask everyone for a list in the beginning of December and pick one at random when it comes time.

Well my family (nieces - sister-in-law etc) decided that the best thing for everyone :nolike:
 is to not buy gifts for each other. We used to draw names anyway so now it is down from one gift to no gifts....I mean REALLY...how hard is it to go find one lousy gift for $20?!? Anyway, I regress. The only ones who are getting presents from everyone are the kids. (At least that is a good thing) So most likely I'll be looking at leggo and cars. My immediate family is excluded from our new no-gift-buying policy so my hubby and I will tell each other what electronic gadget we want and just go get it. I will also buy something for my mom because she always deserves a gift.

Xmas gifts? WTF is that? OH! You mean the pile of useless junk my younger cousin gets buried under each year?

A human being is like a car: it loses value every year. I, personally am sick of seeing my younger cousins getting buried under piles of useless junk while I sulk around with the older ones.

*EDIT* I should specify that I am the elder one among my cousins...

I've acquired a couple DVD's for people, but the rest should be acquired over the next two months...

I wish I could get away with doing my shopping at the Boxing Day sales...

My sister is getting a book, Mikael Karvajalka by Mika Waltari. As for everyone else... I have no clue. Mom will most likely get a scarf, as usual. (tradition of many, many years, that one is..)

    We have a rule.

That rule is "If you don't tell me what you want, you'll get what I grab on a whim at the last minute".

Still waiting on the completed lists to filter through - but my g/f's list is going to be easiest to meet, IMO. It should be enough to keep Peter Alexander in business for enough year...

It's too early to think hard about it right, now, but I suppose I'll start shopping around mid december.

I won't be buying any until the january sales for my family as I won't be seeing them until 17th Jan. (my birthday) I'm going away for Xmas

But I have been given my first present two weeks ago a new food processor as the old one had died.
