I just got a loan of this movie off my buddy after haven't seeing it for years. Man, this is one hell of a movie. Stephen Rea, Donald Sutherland and Max van Sydow make movie magic. This one ranks up there with Seven and Silence of the Lambs for serial killer movies only the scary stuff is, it is true. It's about the Rostov Ripper, Andrei Chikatilo who used to lure people from train stations to their deaths in nearby forests. Mostly preyed on runaway teenagers. It's also about one man's struggle against the Russian bureaucracy to catch a serial killer. Go see if you can, it's an older flick (1995) for HBO.

I've had this film on video for quite some time. Definately one of my favourites as the story, and acting is superb. It's also a bit chilling since it is based on a true story. Talking to my mother when we saw it, and she talked about the actual case, as it hit the news quite prominantly.
