If you kill her then resurrect her, she should appear next to the person who resurrected her. You can then try clicking on the pile of stuff she left behind and wait a few seconds. Sometimes, the game engine just assumes that you can't get to the items and opens the "pick up items" screen anyway. It worked for me on a few occasions. Try it before reloading, it's worth a shot.

Isn't there an autosave just after the boat sinks? Or before you leave the Asylum?

Next time: You can save your game, edit it with Near Infinity to change Imoen's location, then reload.

Another way is to enable the cheat keys in BG II, once you do that you can select Imoen and then press [Ctrl]-J and this will teleport any selected character to the pointer location. To enable the cheat keys you need to open baldur.ini in your BGII directory and add the line Debug Mode=1 under [Program Options], then when you're playing BGII press CTRL-SPACE to open the console window at the bottom of the screen and type (case-sensitive) CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys()

One last resort could be to use the auto-save game instead of any previous saved games if they are before you go to Sahuagain city, which should be right before you get on the ship to leave Brynnlaw.

    Hopefully this helps

btw: it doesn't autosave when getting on the ship nor when entering shaunigan.

two options, only: killing and resurrecting her or opening the CLUAconsole and cheating. Take your pick.

Be careful when using Ctrl-J. It tends to screw up variables.

Rastor, could you perhaps be a bit more specific? What kinds of variables get screwed up, and what sorts of errors/problems might it cause? I ask because I use Ctrl-J all the time, so I'd like to know what kinds of problems it may be causing (and I have noticed the occasional bug, but never thought that Ctrl-J was the culprit).

Edit: I should add that I only use Ctrl-J to travel across areas that I've already covered. I never use it to access areas that I wouldn't otherwise be able to get to, nor to travel across areas covered by the black fog of war.

I think what Rastor meant was that sometimes variables in the game are triggered by your time (how far you have progressed into the game), by your location (where you are exactly or even the path that you took to get there) or by both, and that you should be careful when using [Ctrl]-J cause you might bypass the variable that needed to be triggered and so forth. For instance in Spellhold in order to face Irenicus you need to get the Spellhold key in order to open the door, but you could use [Ctrl]-J so this might affect for instance Saemon Haverian and his offer to get you off Spellhold. You could miss a quest or triggered a quest too soon like this if you are not careful. The perfect example however occurs in Baldur's Gate where you could use this cheat to bypass the bridge to get to the city before the bridge is actually lowered or re-enter Candlekeep without a certain item (it will really mess your game timeline like moving you from chapter 1 to like chapter 5 or 6).

In your case Splunge i wouldn't worry too much since you use this on areas you already explored so I think it is unlikely it will affect your game drastically.

instantly have fun in the Underdark :)
