I'll be honest, I've tried several online RPG's and they bored the hell out of me. They were static, no stories whatsoever, all about collecting the best equipment. I just couldn't get into them. I just bought City of Heroes yesterday. It Totally ROCKS!!! It is easy to get into, has story arcs, great newbie development (the sidekick system temporarily levels up your character to just one under your mentor, though you get no new powers, as long as you are withen so many feet of them) and the best character creation system I have ever seen. Totally accessible to any player. The only downside is that besides fighting bad guys, there isn't anything else to do (which is the whole point of the game). PVP will be introduced with City of Villians addon, so that will be addressed also. I highly recommend it to anyone who doesn't like online RPGs. You CAN play solo, or in teams (which you get many rewards for doing so), and even supergroups. Try it out. You won't be disappointed. Also, virtually no lag right now at least.

Isn't that one of them MMORPGs that cost money per month? If it doesn't, then I might get it.

I meant in US dollars. And the vast majority of reviews for CoH give it around 85%, which is great for a MMORPG.

City of Heroes - Frictionless Insight - 4/5
    City of Heroes - GameAxis - 8.8/10
    City of Heroes - Gamer's Pulse - 33/50
    City of Heroes - GameSpot - 8.4/10

Only Gamers Pulse looks like a bad review but here is their final say.

    Final Thoughts:

Massive character creation tools, diverse city landscapes, powerful abilities and enemies, huge groups of powerful heroes fighting alongside each other and the list goes on and on showing this massively multiplayer game is not like so many out there. City of Heroes is a jewel of a title if you’re seeking casual or hardcore gameplay across a massive scope. Besides, who wouldn’t want to kick some butt as a super hero looked upto by an entire city?
