    Is there a mod which allows you to dual-class to a different class than multi-classes? All I really want is freedom to dual-class into a specialist mage outside of SK. And I would really like it to work with Tutu....So if there is a mod like this please tell me where I could pick it up thnx. :)

    If you'd done a search before asking, you would have quickly come up with a thread asking about the same thing. The answer is that it isn't even possible. For your specific intent, it's SK or nothing. Now if you're having trouble getting SK to do specialists right, I can help you with that.

    There was a mod for improved dual-classes, however. It allowed dual-classing of wild magi and/or barbarian IIRC. It is either G2 tweaks or EoU. Check them!

    BG2 Tweaks allows Barbarian and Wild Mage dual-classing, yeah. However, you can only dual-class from these two (as they're considered kits) and not to them. Fel's right; only SK can help you here.

    In BG I you could dual-class to mage kits iirc, so there might be a way to import something like that in BGII. Ask the modmasters, real nice-like :)

    Yeah, if the engine allowed dualling to kits, I would think that'd be included in Cam's BG2 Tweaks already. ;)

    There is a single mod that allows Imoen to be a Thief/Conjurer as some players of BG1 requested the ability to get Imoen back to what they had played her as in BG. Perhaps you could contact the maker of this mod? IIRC it is at SP so shouldn't be too much of a problem.

    Well, I did offer to help. But you still have to use SK (minimally) if you're going to do anything other than change Imoen to a Conjurer.

    [IMG] actually you CAN dual-class to other classes, IF you have the requirements and are HUMAN. This means you have to have at least 15 in the class you leave main ability and at least 17 in the new class main ability. This means you can dual class from fighter to mage if you have at least a score of 15 in Strenght and a 17 in intelligence. You lose all the abilities of the first class until you reach at least one level up the previous class you left.
    Example: JayDoe a 7th level female fighter has a strenght score of 16 and a Intelligence Score of 17. She dual classes to mage and starts a as a level 1 mage. She losses all the fighter's benefits except for Hit Points-althought she doesn't gain any hit points until she reaches 8th level of Mage, just whe she regains all the previous class benefits. I have done this several times all the way through BG2 SOA and TOB with a 7th/40th Rogue and a 7th/32th level Kensai Mage. they are real grinding machines on the loose, taking benefit of number of attacks, thac0, saving throws, weapon proficiencies and mage/thief spells/abilities. Try fighter/mages, Fighter/clerics and Fighter/rogues, they're able of knockin' out big foes singlehandedly. Much more powerful than any multiclass combination existent in the game.

    @Tronak: Yeah, we know. ;)

    The problem wasn't with Dual-classing in general, it was with dualling to specific combinations that aren't normally possible. Hence the mention of specialist mages.
