[IMG] I am currently playing a F/M who uses a sword for melee and spells (obviously). Anyway there doesen't seem to be any conflict when i played him in TOB but when i import him into SOA (TDD installed) he can no longer use anything having to do with fighter class. I have no idea how this works, can somebody please explain why this happens or how to fix it? I tried installing the Ease-of-use mod and it didnt contain anything pretaining to classes and weapon use. I feel like a noob posting this but I've never encountered this problem before... hmm

When you import to SoA, it cuts your XP down to 161,000 at max, including experience from your first class. Assuming that your F/M is a human dual class who dualled at 8th level or later, he wouldn't have enough levels to have regained his fighter status yet. (For some reason, it cuts the levels too. :grr: ) Either get some XP normally or CLUA it back in to regain your fighter levels.

If that doesn't help, all I can say is that I've heard TDD is very buggy.

I noticed that and changed the levels from 18/22 to 15/15 and I turn my XP off as I do not want to level any further because it will erase my spellbook because i have my memorization set up a little bit to keep a few extra spells. I dont think that has anything to do with it. For some reason the fact that mages cant use swords overgoes the fact that I am half fighter and I cannot use the sword becuase mage is my active class. TDD has been a little buggy in the past but are there any mods to eliminate class preresiquites for equipment?

Thanks guys, but i cant play BG:II anymore. I have a cleaner tool that wipes data.ink files and BG:II uses them to detect the installs and well now i can nither install or uninstall baldur's gate II so there is no way i can reinstall it... I'll try a few more things later before I jump to conclusions. :D

 No, that's exactly it. Your second class has to be a level higher in order to get your old skills back. Change it to 15/16 or 14/15 and you should be fine.

As to your current dilemma, you can just open up your CD (right-click and select 'Open') and run Setup.exe. It doesn't check to see if you've already got it installed, it just goes right ahead and installs it.
