[IMG] Well the C/I is the best gnome class. You can use
both cleric and mage spells. The greatest trick I
found is the Lv4 spell "polymorph self" you can
become a nasty gnoll and with the minor spell sequencer you can release(mirror image and draw uppon holy might),nice huh?
The C/T isn`t bad too.On higher levels you can
set time traps which are incredibly unfair.I am
wondering:can you backstab with Lv2 spell "Firesword".I am sure it`s for backstabbing!

Well if you had more different ideas:please we
    are listening.

Backstab can only work with a designated "thief useable" weapon. Since thieves don't cast spells, then that spell's weapon won't backstab. A gnomish cleric/thief can only ever backstab with a club. Even UAI means that they have proficiency penalties to other weapons.

A human thief dualled to cleric on the other hand, or assassin dualled to cleric can get UAI at level 24 thief and still have their proficiencies in katana and other bladed weapons. Who said a cleric can't use a sword?...

I think that a human thief to cleric is better than a gnomish cleric/thief for that reason...

Why gnome cleric? They get a penalty of -1 wisdom. I would go for illusionist/thief, since gnomes do get good bonuses as thieves, almost as good as halflings.

Strangely enough, only a gnome can multiclass as a cleric thief...

I would go with cleric/illusionist, of the two. You get some great spell combos and don't have as much equipment restriction. Go with hammers, s&s, and sling for best results.
