I was thinking of starting a new game with a cleric then dualing to a mage of vice versa. Is this combination any good?

  2. Dualing to Mage, from cleric isnt that great of an idea... check my second post here for reasons why. ( you dotn have many spells, if you cant figure it out from my post :p)

    A Multi-class Cleric/Mage is a great combination very powerful, so yes I would advise playing a Multi-class Cleric/Mage. ;)

Personally, I have to say that dualclassing is not a good choice when the first class is a spellcaster. Obvious reasons include a stop in your spell-progression and the potential loss of the quest/10th level spells.

If you are crazy about spellslingers like me, though, then you won't find the Cleric/Mage multiclass disappointing at all, as it combines the best of the two worlds of magic ;).
