    [​IMG] Does a clerics spontaneous casting eventual work to turn lvl 6 spells in to heal or does it only do it to ones with cure in the name?(trying to decide what alignemnt of cleric to make)

    I'm not 100% sure but I do think it only applies to cure spells

    You can't cast heal spontaneous, you'll cast the level 4 cure spell when you use spontaneous casting on high level spells.

    Okay. Well i guess that makes the desicion easier though possibly will make my cleric worse later. I was trying to decide if i should make my Mask Cleric true neutral to get spontaneous heal or if i should make her lawful evil so she can take a level of monk(for the +2saves and evasion). Lawful it is. thanks:)

    It's not worth taking a monk level for your cleric, you will weaken your party seriously.

    It's only worth taking a monk level after cleric level 20 but you won't reach more than level 16-17 in a normal game.

    The racial bonus dwarves get compared to humans or HE are more useful for your cleric than the monk bonusses, but neither cleric nor monk is a favored class for dwarves.

    If he has multiple clerics, giving one a monk level is reasonable. Probably still not as good as two single-class clerics, though.

    If using the Cleric as a frontline tank with a high AC build or a decoy...works very well actually!
