Conveniently, they are located in the same quest - specifically the Trademeet quest involving the Druid Grove. You'll get Belm in the little hut place in the northeastern corner of the map - just south of the house with the "woman" inside it. After completing the quest involving the Genies in Trademeet, you can purchase Blackblood +3 from one of the merchants. It's IMO the best club in SoA, and if you have the Item Upgrade Mod, it can be upgraded to a +5 club.

Blackblood is great versus trolls. Gnasher is also quite good (leaves splinters which 2 points of damage per round for 4 rounds). It's also part of the same quest. It's only +2 though, and is the other item you need to upgrade Blackblood (oh, and lots of money).

Gnasher is a pretty good club too (gotta love those splinters for disrupting mages), and you also get that in the druid grove. The Shadow Druids guarding the entrance to where Faldorn is have it, IIRC.

    EDIT:
    Dang, T2Beat me to it.

He's in the southern part of Trademeet - it's not the Smithy in the northern part of the city. It's either the dwarf, or the merchant directly to the east with the feathered cap - I don't remember specifically which one of those two.

EDIT: Are you using Jaheira? That's the main reason I'd have for wanting to acquire Belm and a good club.

There is also a Club made to Jaheira, is on the BoM item mod.

I also like the Club of Detonation, but I think that's on ToB.

Funny, I was just trying to decide if I should buy it. I gave Jahiera 2 stars in daggers, and the +3 firetooth. I have others with +3 maces and quarterstaves for golem bashing.

Only trouble I had was with the Adamantine and Iron golems in the sphere and at DeArnise. But I could use the geometry to keep them at bay, use the firetooth as a missile weapon, and keep my characters out of melee danger.

Are there more difficult +3 bludgeoning only encounters that make getting this +3 club worthwhile if you're not playing with mods?

Blackblood, until I get Firetooth, I carry for trolls as BB does acid damage.

If you can't find the merchant selling Blackblood in Trademeet, try resting. He only shows up at certain hours of the day.

 Of course, that is the most reasonable explanation. He's only there during the daylight hours - I suppose he goes home to sleep at night. So yeah, if you're looking for him at night, you're SOL.

[IMG] If you do not mind using a game editor (like Shadow Keeper) give Jaheira *** in two weapon style ** in Club (Black Blood in main hand) and ** in Scimitar (Belm in off hand). She will Rock your world

And if you want to keep that method sound different from cheating, take away her other proficiencies, so that it was just like you were correcting a mistake.

And you have to have done the Trademeet quest (Genies, Druids) to get the merchant to show, in caseyou didn't know.

    :deadhorse:

Although Pitchwife +5 (Item Upgrade Mod) is great, I was looking at Fulcrum +4 (also requires the item upgrade mod but uses the bone club and gnasher):

Pitchwife +5: +5 acid damage, slivers: 3/round for 4 rounds, 25% acid resistance

Fulcrum +4: +4 damage to Good/Evil/Lawful/Chaotics (cumulative) shards: 2/round for 4 rounds, Grand Mastery in Clubs

The grandmastery in clubs is a huge bonus (especially with the fixed grandmastery mod). Fulcrum becomes the weapon of choice for single-classed thieves, clerics and druids. It's even good for those multiclassed with fighter or ranger.

    Grandmastery:
(with GM Mod) +3 to hit, +5 damage, +1 attack/round.
(without GM Mod) +2 to hit, +4 damage, +½ attack per round.

Note the GM damage is added in before the backstab multiplier making Fulcrum REALLY great for assassins. Combined weapon, assassin, GM bonuses would be +8 to hit, +18 damage (if I'm reading it correctly for non-neutral targets) with a second attack and shards.

Bad thing is it's not available until after the underdark.

And that's wht makes it such a tough decision. Since both clubs require Gnasher as an ingredient, you can't make them both. The problem is you don't get the Bone Club until Spellhold, and you can't combine it with Gnasher until you return to Athkatla in Chapter 6. If both clubs were available early on, Fulcrum would win hands down. However, you can get the necessary ingredients for Pitchwife as soon as you do the Trademeet quest, which is possible to do at the very beginning of Chapter 2.

I agree with T2B also that the real bonus comes with single class thieves, druids, and clerics, who can only gain proficiency in weapons. The bonuses are still there, but they aren't as great if you have a F/T multi-class or a F/D multi-class, as you can already specialize in weapons.

Woah, I forgot about the Fulcrum! Looks tasty :yum: But, it takes so long... if only you could get both! But, that would require cheating, cheesing, or both.

How many points can Jaheira put in Clubs, and what bonuses does she get from it?

Two points - just like every other weapon, which is in accordance with the rules for multi-classed fighters. You get +1 to hit, +2 to damage, and an extra 1/2 attack per round, so not bad. And I'm pretty sure she starts the game with two stars in clubs, so you won't be able to add any more (or you can look at it that you can spend her next proficiency points on two handed fighting style if you're "the glass is half-full" type of person).

And if you have 2 in clubs, two in 2 fighting style, then what bonuses do you get? And what is her THAC0 in her offhand...?
