[IMG] So what are your favourite comic books?

    Mine are:
    - Maus from Art Spiegelman. An REALLY impressive account of Spiegelman's father who was a jew in Nazi Poland.
    - Marten Toonder's comic books. A dutch writer/artist who created several series all very good (Ollie B. Bommel anyone? :p )

Sorry to be vague, but what is your definition of Comic Books?

I mean, you have to love for example Asterix and Lucky Luke if they count. Always used to read the Disney's when I was a kid, and some of the older storeys are brilliant. (Carl Barks rocks).

Never been a fan of Marvel stuff, and living in Britain, it's not as if I feel swamped with decent comic books in shops. They never quite seemed to get the hang of it over here somehow.

I think Warhammer Monthly was pretty good. I got one free with a mag, but I havent bought one since, because I thought it was to expensive (I'm not a cheap skate, well not much, but I'm saving up for a Les Paul, dream guitar for you s not in the know)

GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka) is pretty funny. It's about a biker punk who becomes a teacher. You can't help but cheer as he gets through tough situations with his morals (mostly) intact.

Akira's a modern day classic of course. Needless to say, Kaneda's bike rules all

Some of the Cowboy Bebop's are rather nice as well. Extremely stylish.
