I've read many threads that include same errors within Baldur's Gate -game saga and some of (less of these) referring to Icewind Dale (II).

    The message is:
"An Assertion failed in Chitin.cpp at line number 1738
Programmer says: Error initializing key table, bad key file"

    So, what's the problem?
    Hardware is Fujitso Amilo Pi3650
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Edition
    DDR2 SDRAM
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M
    Intel Core Duo CPU T6600 @ 2.20GHz

Problem occurs when I try to run the game as administrator in XP compatible (right click ".exe" - compatible - administration rights - run - error)

I've reinstalled couple of times, installed IWD1 too and it had same problem (number was 1530 if I remember correct). Is it because Win 7 or maybe CDs? Is that failure fixable by only replacing chitin.cpp file, if so, could someone who has Win7 and IWD2 works send me the file: jcnnATwindowslive.com. thnx in advance, I try to remember post solution here if I find it during next weeks.
