EDIT:
Another small update to add a new fixpack from Sorcerer's Place, official patches, fixed a few spelling errors, altered a few links, and changed the format just a bit.

One of these days I'll make a similar list for BG1, IWD, IWD2, and PS:T, though I am not as familiar with those mods. Anyone who has any link suggestions for mods, please email them to me or PM me via this board. I ask that you please not post them to this thread, as this should be for BG2 only...

Tortured Souls Mod - how do I get it?
I clicked on it on the SP page and got sent on a merry chase which resulted in me now also having a yahoo email account but no TS Mod...

 

I could have sworn that I recently read somewhere about a mod which allows you to create your own characters in multi-player and make them into one of the standard NPC's. So in other words, if you wanted Minsc, but you wanted him to be, say, a Sorcerer, you could do that. This would allow you to have the NPC interactions (and presumably romances), but you get to choose the NPC's race, class, proficiencies, etc.

So does such a mod exist? Or was I hallucinating? And no, I'm not thinking of Shadowkeeper (could you do this using Shadowkeeper?)

Edit: I may have been thinking about Blucher's Alternate BG2 NPCs mod; not quite the same as I descibed it above, but it looks pretty good anyway.

First of all, let me say thank you for this compilation.
And it is curious for me to see this, since i was getting 'all' the mods(or at least the biggest and most know), and expecting to play BGII:ToB one last time.
But one problem arises, that was already mentioned by Apeman, the install sequence/combatibility for the mods.

My objective is to install the maximum number of mods in 1 instalation. Getting that way, all the gaming from all mods in just one role-playing.
I don't know all mods out there, some of them are incompatible and there are some that aren't very appelling(at least for me), like only-romance-mod or only-uber-items-mod.

So i post here, what is for me, the best mod-combos paths... as i am new in this and i do not know if it would work at least in theory, much less in pratice, i would be gratefull for feedback. (i've read the text/manual/help for compatibility, but still something may have slipped)

Baldurdash needs to be installed prior to any mods.

 

If there isn't a reason against it that I'm not aware of, could you include Sabre's customizations at http://www.users.bigpond.com/qtnt/index.htm ? It's been around for a long while now and I think it should be part of this excellent list.

Another thing: as not all of us really find the time to replay bg2 every couple months, a rating system of some kind would really be nice to help decide which mods to install (without cluttering your installation with loads of potentially incompatible mods) next time you decide to have another go at the game.

this is for Splunge, it could actually work (haven't tried it, haven't thought to before, going to when i get home). you'll need something to extract stuff from the game (winbiff, infinity explorer, DLTCEP) and find the correct *.CRE file for your NPC of choice (usually has 4-5 different files ie minsc8, minsc9, etc...) then extract the file(s) and open them in shadowkeeper and edit to your hearts delight. then move the files to your override folder (unless you extracted them there, of course)
like i said, haven't tried it, so don't quote me on it. might work, might not. makes sense though
