Okay, I've read the posts about the tomb, but my brain is still a little addled. I've got the mask. Where's the tomb? Is it JUST the plate in the floor with the sword and shield, or is there more to it?

Yes. Once you loot that area of the floor, be prepared for some treasure vultures to come a knocking. I had expected more of a tomb as well.

There is a lot more to the area, though. An interesting bucket, perhaps even something VERY big and nasty. And arrogant.

That battle was awesome when you took the armor and sword. I was closing doors to help my odds, but little did I realize that closing one door just meant they went another way through the maze! I took screen shots of this because it was such a tactical battle.

I closed the door on the mage while I was battling two other of their members, Aerie was outside in the hallway, everything is going great. Suddenly, the game paused and Aerie spotted trouble. It was the bloody mage! Made his way through the maze and came FROM BEHIND! Aerie had to quickly weave her hands to get off a magic missile before his spell was completed and the two dualed it out spell for spell.

It was a tougher battle than the Golem was, that's for sure.

Yes, that was one of the toughest battles I ever fought. In fact, the first time I fought it, I eventually had to forget about the treasures, exit the area, and go get more XP (and some new NPCs) before fighting it!

I eventually won the battle by flanking the enemies. Since they appear right on the other side of the door from where the treasure is to be found, I had my mages waiting at the other end of that hallway. Just as I was initiating their dialogue, my mages were casting fireballs, which ruined all their initial spells, and Jaheira threw and insect swarm to further disrupt them.

The damage thus done, my fighters charged in, taking care of their melee'ers whilst my mages went to work on de-buffing the enemy mages, who were then left helpless and ready for cleanup.

All in all, a great tactical fight in a very confined little area... something of a rarity in these types of games. :)
