    [IMG] At 20th level by doing simple mathish problems you can find XP points needed to level up, to hit plusses, saving throws,when you get feats and bonus ability points. but what about special abilities Got any Ideas?

    Don't worry WotC will put out a "high Level" book sometime soon. Trust me they want your money. :D For now if you're 20th level start taking a presteige class or something. There is no real way to do the powers. I guess the DM would have to make things up.

    I did the Math with the help of my computers spread sheet software. you reach the equivelent of level 100 at 4,950,000 XP under 3E.

    Also did the math on the numbers of attacks a Fighter would get in one round.

    He would get 20 attacks. Needless to say you would have to put a limit on the # of attacks or you would start to distroy the rules of phisics.

    How did you do the math? I don't believe 3E uses linear progression, but I could be wrong, as I don't have the books.

    It in fact does use linear progression, at least on all the things I remember.

    IIRC (I don't have the book in front of me) this is how it works:

    To determine the number of additional XP you need to reach the next level, take your current level and multiply by 1000.

    2 - 1000 (1000 more)
    3 - 3000 (2000 more)
    4 - 6000 (3000 more)
    5 - 10000 (4000 more)
    6 - 15000 (5000 more)
    7 - 21000 (6000 more)
    8 - 28000 (7000 more)
    9 - 36000 (8000 more)
    etc.

    Does that look right?

    Hehe whoops... Fixed typo (I'm so used to typing power of 2 numbers, I naturally typed 32 instead of 36) :) Thanks Volar...

    Yes, except for the fact that you counted wrong. Level 9 is supposed to be 36000 :p

    BTA has it mostly right from what I can tell they took the level your on and multipyed by 1000 and added that number to the privious level up

    so
    1=0XP
    2=1000XP 1*1000+0
    3=3000XP 2*1000+1000
    etc.

    I havent yet played BGII what tdid they doo there when the charictors broke level 20 for SA. or where you not able to tell.
