Continuing Chapters 1 & 2 abridged version to full BG version

    First time poster, long time reader.

    I am currently have finished the BG Chapters 1 & 2 abridged version and have bought the full BG game (5 disks). Problem is can not figure out how to get the games from the abridged version to full version. Have tried to copy saved files, but game just crashes.

    There is no way as far as I know. You could try exporting your character file in the demo and importing it in the full version, but I don't know if that would work either - and it'd be just the main character in any event. So I suggest starting afresh.

    Wonder what the logic is. Sell an abridged game to get people interested, but then make have to replay it again because did not develop way to transport the game.

    [​IMG] I know how you feel Stump. Right before IWD 1 came out i got a 600 mb demo from PC GAMER and man i loved the game and suddenly it ended and i had to play it all over again when the real game came out :aww:

    GateKeeper can't help you with this. The demo was made ages ago and really only meant as that - to check the game out - and not to transfer anything from it to the real thing.

    The only thing you can do is write down your character's stats, XP and items and use GateKeeper to add all of that to the character you make anew in the full BG. But you can forget about savegames, you'll never be able to use those.
