[IMG] I'm currently playing BG1, but in order to plan a little ahead I'd like to ask two questions about BG2.

If I start in BG2 with my character from BG1, will I:
    - keep all my exceptional (>18) ability scores derived from tomes?
    - be allowed to chose a kit for my class (eg. if my BG1 character is a fighter, upon starting BG2 i can choose to make him a kensai?)

The stat's you can definitely keep, the kits I'm unsure of.

To increase stat's further still (permanently) you can play TotSC & DSotSC as a couple of tomes are available within those BG1 add-ons.

[IMG] Thanks for the advice Bert. :)

Anyone else out there who have any knowledge on the kit thing?

You sure can. I imported my Paladin from BG1 and made him a Cavalier (Pal. Kit) in BG2. Hope that helps :)
    Peace.

When you dualclassed a charcter in BG-1 already you can choose a kit for his first class when importing him to BG-2. Example your dc fighter-thief can become a kensai-thief or a berserker-thief or a wizardslayer-thief in BG-2 ...

You can also redistribute your weapon proficiencies.

[IMG] Aye, your BG1 character will be most excellent in BG2! :)

Also, if you have TotSC installed you have probably reached 161,000 xp and will start BG2 with that. Nice.

In case you play a druid in BG1 and you choose the Avenger kit I think (I read it somewhere) your character will not lose the 2 strength & 2 constitution an Avenger is supposed to lose.
Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Aw crap! If I'd known about this, I woulda imported my already level 8 character. Would you have been able to like remove your 2nd class? Like Fighter-Thief to Pure Kensai? Sounds iffy...

Confirmed that the Avenger does not lose his stats. When you import the character, your stats are set and you pick up the customization at the next step.
