Hi, This is my first post, I've been mostly lurking on the forums before unregistered. I'm just wondering if there is anyway to continue playing after beating Irenicus in hell  I've searched on google and the forums and I found some people asking the same question albeit with no answer.

Unfortunately, I went through the main quest too quickly and before I knew it, I was in hell, waiting to be confronted by Irenicus.

So I beat Irenicus with my single monk after a few reloads... (Jaheira died early, Yoshimo betrayed me, Minsc killed Edwin, so I killed Minsc, Imoen got turned to stone) and the cutscene plays and the game ends heading towards the Throne of Bhaal areas and I could never return to the original area.

There were a lot of side quests I haven't done there yet :(. I have no saves before hell (I relied too much on Quicksave). So is there any tweak or mod that allows you to stay in the Shadows of Amn areas until you decided to move on to the Throne of Bhaal?

Or even better, a mod that allows you to move between the two areas without much hassle? Although that would probably require a lot more work and be somewhat glitchy.

Thanks to anyone who can give me any answer

Yeah, that kind of sucks. One thing you can do is export your character, start a new SoA game and import that character. I know it's not what you're looking for because you don't want to start all over again, but it is an option.

In the future, and this goes for most games, keep a save outside of the final dungeon so you don't run into this problem.

If you enable cheat console there is cheat to move between areas. So I guess you can try that.

    That will likely work.

Why kill Minsc?-he is one of the funny characters to have around and Edwin was hardly a force for righteousness in the realms.

If you grab a different mage (Nalia or Aerie-both of whom i've come to see have different perks with and thus view as underrated when people drift to Edwin because of his jewelry's ability) that mage can probably cast stone to flesh to get Immy back. And this doesn't count any mages you can cheat to add to your party or mods that have a new NPC.

Welcome, officially, to the boards btw.

Oh, I'll try to console thing. Thanks :D

I killed Minsc in an attempt to use stunning blow to stun him so. He killed Edwin in two blows though. Didn't want to reload since I haven't 'quicksaved' in a while and autosave was a far while back. So ever since then, I'd been quicksaving a lot (Kind of...).

I liked Aerie who got both wizard and priest spells but I preferred a small party over a large one so I ditched her after the circus.

They all pretty much died on after another usually due to late saving or ignorance (Didn't know that removing dead Jaheira from party kills her permanently or resurrection wont work on a petrified character) :( and yoshimo betrayed me? There goes my thief. It was fine though since my monk character had a lot of magic resistance near the end and quivering palm seems to be able to kill anything when I'm lucky :D.

You can "resurrect" petrified characters if you have the Stone to Flesh spell.
