Hey folks. I just wanted to share some of the really cool evil stuff that I was able to do as a force of wickedness... stuff that happened to me that was different from when I played the "good guys". After reading these, perhaps other evil folk out there can share some things that I may have missed... but mainly this is to show people how BGII does allow for some difference based on your actions, alignment, and reputation.

*) Harper/Xzar Quest - My evil party recovered the bird from the Harper stronghold, which is supposed to be Monteron. The bird is of course actually an assassin, who kills Xzar and then splits. The difference here, though, is because I was so evil, the assassin turned to me after killing Xzar, said I too was "too irredeemable to live", and attacked me!

*) Jaheira leading you to Harper judgement - When the Harpers judged that I was unfit to be left running around, and tried to imprison me, Jaheira refused to help me fight them, and left the group.

*) Man buried alive - After pulling the man from the grave in the Graveyard District, I agreed to find "the man in red". After locating his house and going inside, I found that a young lady was being held hostage. Instead of freeing her, I collected the bounty for her myself! (A pair of silver panatloons)

*) I forced Haer'Dalis' friends to pay me handsomely for his rescue, and once I brought him back, I refused to give them the Planar Gem until they paid me more! Finally, when they asked me to guard them as they tried to summon a young conduit, I once again forced them to pay me. They were not happy, but they continued to cough up the cash. :)

*) Trademeet - After talking to the mayor and to Cernd, I left for the Druid grove, but was waylaid by a Halfling, who offered me an alternative way to take out the Druids...using poison. I took the poison from him, and continued on my way. When I met Faldorn, she laughed at me when I attempted to challenge her (I didn't have a druid), but boy did she quit laughing when I poured Poison into one of the little fountains, killing the entire grove and breaking her power! After slaughtering her and her entire group, the Druid grove was all brown and dead-looking, and I got an ass-chewing from the mayor of Trademeet. :)

*) In the Underdark, when the Deep Gnome says he'll give ma a light gem if I help him out, I wasted him and took the gem without having to fight the Balor! The Silver Dragon later mentioned that she should kill me for that, but that she needed my help.

*) The silver dragon regretted involving me, when I let the Demon take her eggs! Of course, the demon then revealed my true identity, and I had to kill it and that Drow chick. Shame. :( When I took the eggs (which were now called "tainted dragon eggs" back to the Silver Dragon, she threw a fit and attacked me.

    ***

This is all the cool stuff I can think of right now, that strongly deviated from my experiences of playing as a good character. I might add to this thread if I remember anything more. :)

I've heard about the poison in the Druid Grove, and wondered where it was obtained. Since I tend to play good characters, I was never approached by the halfling. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity!

I found the Silver Dragon to be /extremely/ difficult, and I had a truly badass party. I think, though, that if I had more protection from cold, it wouldn't have been nearly so hard.

The worst part about the Silver Dragon, is that when she uses her breath weapon, she does (in my experience) 60-80 damage TWICE IN A ROW, and that's WITH a successful saving throw on my character's part!! Except for my toughest fightters, this kindof damage tends to result in a permanent loss of that party member. It took me 2 tries to beat her, and the only cheap tactic I used was surrounding her and summoning critters before invoking dialogue.

Man she sounds nasty! I'd like her in my party, except she'd be bossier than Jahira!
