[IMG] A Baldur's Gate 2 for macintosh came out, lucky for me since my PC was stolen and i'm now cursed with this inferior gamer computer.

What I need to know is, can I still use some of the sweet mods from this website?

Read the Mod readmes, they will tell you if they`re compatible with the MAC version. :)

I can't believe you even have a Macintosh, and plus they just simply are not worthy of such a fine game! My deepesy sympathies on your loss. :(

[IMG] You might be able to sell the Mac to some high school kid for a few bucks.

I really can't image how bad it must be to play Baldur's Gate on a Mac.

    My condolences.

[IMG] Hardly any mods were tested on a Mac, so good luck...

[IMG] Well thanks anyways. Maybe one of these mods will explode the flopping thing so that I can get a real computer.

Off topic, yes, but are there any proud mac gamers out there other than me?

BG2 runs better for me on this lovely machine than it does for most of my PC using friends.

As for the mods, there are fewer available, but personally I tend not to care. Many of them are easily enough installed on a mac. The Darkest Day, for one, had a version put out for mac BG2.

Ok, apparently most of the WeiDU mods will work on Mac, but you *have* to download Mac WeiDU to be able to install them.
Will find the URL for you now :)

EDIT: Argh, can`t find it anymore... could have sworn I saw it at some stage :|
Hm... i`m getting too used to very very fast moving forums- I post in a thread that`s still on Page 1 and it turns out to be over a fortnight old ?? I`ll get used to it, I guess :)

Sol'Kanar - I am another mac compatriate dude.

I hate hearing the "less fortunate" knock macs.

I have a g4 imac flat panel, its a gorgeous machine and runs baldurs gate 2 very well on jaguar.

Pity they havent released throne of baal though - id really like to play it.

Be brave my friend. Who knows, perhaps Gates will lose his mind and company, and ALL PC games will be released on Mac.

we get most good games ported to mac now a days. We miss out on the odd game, like halflife/cs, but we got MOHAA so all is forgiven.

Expansion packs arent usually released on mac though for a pure numbers reason. Expansion packs on pc (and mac) only sell to half or even less of those who buy the original. If 10 million buy th original (typical on pc), 5 million copies is enough to justify an expansion.

If only 1 million buy it, however (typical for a big mac game), 400-500,000 isnt enough $ to entice developers to bother.

Its a shame because we missed out on TOB. But we are getting neverwinter nights soon, so i look forward to that....
