I'm not interested in modifying an existing game so much as creating a new adventure using the Infinity engine, much like the old FRUA let you build dungeons for play with the Gold Box engine. I want to do this using IWD2 as a base, as that is the only IE game which implements the 3.0 rules. The way I envision it, the player would install the mod, run IWD2, create a new party, and then instead of landing in Targos, they'd automatically start in my dungeon.

Initially I plan to do something really simple, like the "Dark and Stormy Knight" adventure ( http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/A_Dark_and_Stormy_Knight.zip or read it online at http://en.calameo.com/read/000000019faa3e43802f0 ). It's just a little 1st level dungeon with 6 or 7 rooms, a few packs of monsters, some basic treasure, a trap or two... after they killed the last monster the credits would roll.

How do I get started with this project? The guides and mods I've found out there seem geared towards adding new items/spells/NPCs to the story, but this is almost the opposite.
