You can, but you would need to edit them by renaming them. In the sounds folder is a soundlist text file that tells you what each wav file does. If you compare them to the BG2 sound list you will find that the functions are similar but named differently. If you simply rename the files in the way that IWD2 wants them they will work. You can have some files from a set missing, but they should be similarly named.

Which sound sets are you thinking of doing? I may have some spare time to help make some.

    Park,

I have done one for Haerdalis and I am working on some more. I hope to ressurect my old BG2 party in IWD2, let's face it, if Drizzt can do it, why can't I?

My problem is getting it in to SP, because even zipped it is around 5mb. Perhaps I'll send it in pieces that all fit together?...

As a bit of fun, i have started a Renal Bloodscalp sound set for IWD2, but i have a problem with Winbif. When i extracted the files, they said that they were not true wav files. I may just need a new program, so, any suggestions would be nice.

Beazlebub, you can download Infinity sound converter, TeamBG, which will not only play them but convert them from wavc to wav which Snd Recorder can use. But why bother with Renal when he has only 10 or so sound files, 3 of which could be used for a set?

I have just posted a Haerdalis, Bard, sound set to Tal at SP and I have just completed a Sarevok sound set. When Tal gives the green light that he received them ok, I'll send it too.

Put in your BG1 and BG2 orders and I may just help you out. I am thinking of doing a Joneleth Irenicus, Bodhi and Saemon Havarian, but it will take a while to fiddle with the sound wavs to make them sensible for IWD2.

You will be able to get all your favourite BG2 NPCs hopefully before Christmas...

    Cheers.
