Hi there folks, long time no see! It's Jukka Mikkonen, author of Jukka's Powergaming Party (JUPP) here.

Thrown weapons state that they get their "attack bonus" from STR instead of DEX like the rest of the ranged weapons. Does this mean BOTH attack bonus and damage or just damage?

After a little testing, it seems that a good "thrower" specialist needs both STR and DEX, even if you're using slings. Slings do not show STR bonus to damage in the record screen but it gets added to damage anyway, according to my tests. Too bad that melee weapons tend to be better under such conditions, effectively "wasting" the good DEX score in terms of damage goodness. (Yes, I'm ignoring the reflex save and AC bonuses here.)
