    The truth finally comes out:

Middle Class Hit Hardest by Bush's Tax Cuts

It's just like the Democrats have been saying all along - that it is the wealthy that see the biggest benefit from Bush's tax cuts. Technically, everyone benefitted as taxes were cut across the board, but the tax burden has shifted from the upper class to the middle class.

Additionally since this was an independent study, the Democrats will be all over this. They've been saying this for a while, but now that it has been confirmed by an independent third party, you can be sure they'll be using it to its fullest effect.

The thing that ticked me off more than anything is the article says those households hit the hardest are the one's making about $75,600 (which is the middle class). Ironically, this is almost the exact total that my wife and I make. Yes, our taxes have gone down, but the percentage of the total taxes people in this group pay have actually risen by about 1%. In other words, people in the middle class got less of a tax break than those of the upper class.

The lower class's tax break was also bigger than the middle class (again, by percentage), but I don't begrudge them that. In fact, the lower class only saved an average of $250 per household, because they paid the least amount of taxes to begin with.

Here's a breakdown taken from the article:
