I looked at the description of the DD add-on, and I was reluctant to download it. How exactly will this change my game? Do I get to a certain point and branch off to new areas, and will my previous games be safe? Thanks in advance for the response.

I'm not sure if previous saves will be usable once TDD is installed. I do know that you will need to start a new game to take advantage of the new TDD stuff.

TDD adds a bunch of new areas and quests, as well as modifying some already existing areas and creatures (mainly adding loot). Each new area has a person who will reveal that map to you whenever to talk to them, so you can do the new areas at any level. You can also switch back and forth from TDD to SoA at any point.

Screw the Dumbest Day. It is a bug belonging to a category of it's own. The Bug-Mods. Believe me.

Welcome to the house of loonies, BTW.

The Darkest Day adds quite a few nice features to BG II - extra monsters (so therefore more experience overall) and some pretty uninspired quests - but the bugs take some getting used to.

if you download the newest patch 1.0.03A it'll fix alot of bugs. Mainly, they're bugs you have to figure out what triggers them, then prevent that from happening. Like one of them is i had viconia and jahiera in my party and if jahiera died, viconia would start walking wierd. Where i would click, she would go, but stop halfway there :)
